Talking Book Service - Talking Book Service provides audios books and magazines in cassette format, as well as a cassette player, to the visually impaired. Materials are sent and received by mail - convenient and free of charge. To get started, contact your local library.
Rotating collections - Each branch houses rotating collections of
• Videos (DVD & VHS) - a different collection of 150 every two months;
• Audio books (CDs & cassettes) - a different collection of 50 every two months;
• Story time kits (complete with books, puppets & activity sheets) - 4 different kits every three months; and
• Large type books - a different collection of 50 every six months.
Copying & Faxing - Copies are 25¢ for black & white, 50¢ for color (color copying is not avialable in all locations). Both incoming & outgoing faxes are $1 per page.
Test proctoring - Test proctoring can be done at any or our eight locations. Arragements should be made in advance directly with the branch. Click for contact information.
Disc cleaning - DVDs and CDs can be cleaned at the Lapwai branch for $1.50 per disc, to be paid when the discs are dropped off. You may drop off your discs at your local branch and will received them back typically in 3-5 days. Please be aware that minor scratches and wear can be repaired, but sever scratches will not be removed by the machine.
Accucut die-cut machine - This is available for use at the Lapwai branch. There is no cost for the use of the machine. Users must provide their own supplies. Click to see what dies are available.
